Moama EMBR

Ember is a new café-style venue offering Italian-inspired food and local wines, conceived as the social heart and entry point to the Wildergreen precinct at Moama Bowling Club. The venue focuses on quality, locally influenced dining and forms the foundation for a broader precinct where events, bars and landscape work together to create a distinctly local destination.

Located on a former bowling green, the precinct transforms underutilised green space into an activated environment centred on a family-focused food and beverage offering. Ember anchors the precinct alongside landscape-integrated play elements—including slides, active play zones and trampoline features—creating an engaging outdoor experience for children, balanced by Tree House, a dedicated family dining and play venue.

The project represents the first stage of a broader master vision for the club. Future stages currently in planning include a new arrival experience, a summerhouse-style event space, and a pop-up external bar aligned with a future hotel development, further establishing Wildergreen as a year-round destination. Architectural forms draw from the surrounding landscape and reference the material tones of the future resort hotel, positioning the precinct as the beginning of a larger long-term vision for the club.

Concept & Design

DACCA Architects were engaged as delivery architect and worked closely with the builder and consultant team to deliver Issue for Construction (IFC) documentation in accordance with the NCC and Australian Standards. Key construction challenges included building over a live back-of-house underground loading dock while maintaining uninterrupted club operations.

DACCA continues to work with Moama Bowling Club across multiple projects, supporting the club’s evolution toward a resort-style venue that caters to all ages and the wider community.
