Etti’s was conceived as a multifunctional destination that seamlessly integrates a lounge environment, bar offering and TAB sports area within a cohesive and welcoming setting. Through research-led design and a strong contextual response, Dacca created a venue that feels both distinctive and connected to its Balgowlah surroundings.
Guests are welcomed by a refreshed façade and a completely reimagined arrival experience, leading into a new lounge, bar and pizza offering. This carefully layered sequence builds anticipation and immediately establishes the venue's transformed identity.
Natural textures, detailed joinery and stone-inspired wall finishes reflect the character of the surrounding landscape, bringing warmth, authenticity and visual richness to the interior. These materials help create an inviting environment that appeals to a broad demographic while delivering a strong visual impact.
Concept & Design
The lounge area has been designed to encourage social interaction and relaxation, offering a variety of seating options that cater to different groups and occasions, Adjacent to this, the bar serves as a central gathering point, reinforcing the venue's vibrant and social atmosphere.
Positioned alongside the gaming area, the TAB has been strategically planned to maximise operational efficiency while maintaining easy access to the alfresco smoking terrace. Rather than adopting a traditional TAB format, the space has been reimagined with lounge-style finishes, comfortable seating and recreational features including a pool table. The result is a sports-focused environment that feels like a natural extension of the broader venue rather than a standalone wagering space.
This innovative approach has proven particularly popular with local patrons, creating a welcoming destination where guests can watch sport, socialise and relax in equal measure.
